Youth Theatre Workshop 2026
The Theater Company of Saugus is excited to present two shows this summer featuring the next generation of our talent pool. Click here for more information about this year’s Youth Theatre Workshop.
Location
All performances are at the Lemoine-Mitchell Auditorium in the Saugus Middle High School, at 1 Pearce Memorial Drive / Saugus, Massachusetts. The school is all accessible. General seating for all shows. Click here for directions.
Snacks, water, and raffle tickets for great prizes will be for sale before the show and during the intermission. Bring cash, because the connection to Venmo is spotty inside the building.
Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr.
Featuring younger kids entering grades 1 through 8. There are three performances in one weekend:
- Friday 31 July 2026 at 7:00 PM evening
- Saturday 1 August at 2:00 PM matinee
- Saturday 1 August at 7:00 PM evening
There are two acts, each about 40 minutes long.
Mean Girls – High School Version
Featuring teens in grade 8 or older. There are three performances in one weekend:
- Friday 14 August 2026 at 7:00 PM evening
- Saturday 15 August at 2:00 PM matinee
- Saturday 15 August at 7:00 PM evening
There are two acts, each about one hour long.
Prices
- Both Shows: $20 for adults when purchased in advance online or at the door
- Matilda Jr: $10 when purchased at the door for all children, middle-school, and high-school students. Valid with student ID for middle and high school students.
- Mean Girls High School Version: $10 when purchased at the door for middle-school and high-school students only. Valid with student ID.

Purchasing Tickets
Our advance online ticket vendor TicketStage accepts any credit card to pay for seats, and charges a small extra fee. Advance online sales close four hours before the curtain time. Use the links at the top and bottom of this web page when ticket sales are open. Advance sales are not refundable.
A paper ticket is required to enter the auditorium for all patrons. Tickets purchased in advance will be ready for pickup at the entrance to the school.
Tickets will be for sale at the entrance, where they can be paid for with cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal, but not credit cards.
Discounted Tickets
Each paid youth participant in the show will be able to purchase up to five tickets for only $17 each. Each paper ticket may be used for any one of the three performances of the show. These may be paid for with cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal (not credit cards), and may be purchased only in person at a ticket sales event.
The discounted ticket sales events will be at the Saugus Middle High School, on dates to be determined.
About the Venue

- Use the High School entrance.
- The building is wheelchair accessible.
- Parking is available in the parking lots in front and to the side of the school building.
- Seating is general admission.
- Doors open 30 minutes before show time listed.
- Snacks, candy, and water are for sale at all performances, pre-show and during intermission. Although these must be consumed in the cafeteria lobby, and are not allowed inside the auditorium.
- Raffle tickets for wonderful prizes are for sale at all performances, pre-show and during intermission.
- Bring cash to purchase snacks and raffle tickets. The connection to Venmo is spotty inside the building.
How to Purchase or Reserve Tickets
- Advance online ticket sales are open up until four hours before the performance time.
- You can use any major credit card.
- Our ticket vendor TicketStage charges a small additional fee.
- Purchases are not refundable.
- Reserve seats in advance, at least five hours before curtain time, by sending us an email to tcsaugus@gmail.com, or phoning us at 781-816-7019 and leaving a voicemail message. In your message please state:
- your name
- email address
- phone
- date and time of performance
- how many seats you want
- whether you get adult or reduced ticket price
- Purchase tickets at the door.
- Seats are usually available.
- But we sometimes sell out, so you are advised to purchase in advance.
- You can pay for your tickets at the door with:
- cash,
- check (payable to Theatre Company of Saugus),
- Venmo,
- or PayPal.
- We cannot usually accept credit cards at the door.
