The Youth Theatre Workshop Committee and Theatre Company of Saugus are excited to announce the YTW 2026 summer productions!
As in the previous few years, there will be two sessions. Both culminate in the performances of complete junior musical shows.
Session 1 will be for kids entering grades 1 thru 8. It will meet for two full weeks, Monday thru Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with performances on the final weekend.
Session 2 will be for teens entering grades 8 and up. Rehearsal sessions will be through much of the summer on three weekday evenings, with performances on the final weekend.
The dates for each session are as follows:
SESSION l (grades 1-8) – Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical Jr.
- Start date: July 20, 2026
- Tech Week: July 27-31
- Show dates: 1 show July 31, 2 shows Aug 1
SESSION ll (grades 8-12) – Mean Girls Jr.
- Start date: June 22
- Tech Week: Aug 10-14
- Show dates: 1 show Aug 14, 2 shows Aug 15

- EARLY BIRD registration and payment ends May 25, 2026. Higher fees apply if payment is made after May 25, 2026.
- The discounted fee for the second youth from the same household also applies for youths in 8th grade who are registering for both the Kids and Teens programs, depending on the date of the payment.
- Payment in full is required by the time of the Meet & Greet session. Specific dates/times TBD. However, the specific dates will take place during the week of July 13 for Session I (kids 1-8 grade) and during the week of June 15 for Session II (teens).
- Payments made after June 1 are not refundable.

Whatever the payment method, please always include a note showing the youth participant name, and which program you are paying for.

- There will be a $15 charge to the payee for a bounced or returned check.
- Pay by Credit Card, Debit Card, or ACH to our bank
- PayPal – Log into your PayPal account and select the option to send money. Type in the TCS email address to select us as the recipient – TCSaugus@gmail.com
- Venmo – Log into your Venmo account and search for @theatrecompanyof-saugus under people.

The application for our 2026 summer Internship Program is officially LIVE!
The TCS Youth Theatre Workshop Internship Program is a space for students in grade 9 through undergraduate college to have a free, hands-on educational theater experience from a production team’s perspective. This year we have added one on one time with the interns and their mentors that will further the educational experience!
This is a FREE program with incentives including, but not limited to –
- Building your resume with real production experience
- Earning a recommendation letter from TCS
- Receiving community service hours
- Two free tickets to the production you’re working on
- …and more!
Ages for applicants:
- Session l (Kids presenting Matilda Jr.): entering 9th grade in 2026 up to current graduating senior
- Session ll (Teens presenting Mean Girls Jr.): entering 9th grade in 2026 up to active college undergraduate student
Up to 20 intern positions are available. The Deadline to apply is Friday 5 June 2026!
