As many of you know, Theatre Company of Saugus mourned the passing of Joanne Louise Wheeler on October 29, 2019. Affectionately known as “Gram” to so many, she was a huge supporter of the arts and was involved with TCS for many years behind the scenes and then as an avid audience member.
Her children and grandchildren and other relatives have been involved with TCS over the years and currently her granddaughter Amanda, grandson Will, and daughter Joanne are all active members. Because of this extended theatre family connection, TCS is hosting a ONE NIGHT ONLY fundraising event to help offset Gram’s funeral costs that were above and beyond the anticipated expenses.
To honor Joanne and celebrate her life, current and past TCS Members are donating their time and energy to perform songs that are close to their hearts and some that were close to Joanne’s. TCS and Joanne’s family would like to thank everyone for volunteering to put this evening together.

If you cannot attend the event on December 18, but would like to help – please consider donating through our GoFundMe page.
All funds raised by the Comfort & Joy Fundraiser and the GoFundMe campaign will go to help offset the funeral expenses that were not covered. Anything raised above and beyond the goal of $4,000 will be set aside and TCS in conjunction with Gram’s family will set-up a scholarship in her memory (specifics to be determined if we surpass the goal).
It is general admission seating and we will be using the table seating in the 2nd Floor Hall at the Legion. Seating is limited, so purchase online to secure your seat and arrive early for your choice of location. Tickets are $30 for all patrons. Tickets may be purchased in advance online, or at the door, or reserved by contacting us.
