Ride the Cyclone is a Canadian musical with music and lyrics written by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, and book by Jacob Richmond. It follows the spirits of six teenagers from the St Cassian Chamber Choir who tragically died in a roller coaster accident. In limbo, they encounter a mechanical fortune teller who invites each of them to share their story in hopes of winning a chance to return to life. The narrative explores themes of death, grief, and the meaning of life as each character reveals their unique perspective and experiences. A funny and moving look at what makes life worth living and asks us whether we are living ours.
For the TCS production, the director and choreographer is Jason Hair-Wynn. The music director is Shawn Gelzleichter. Jason and Shawn have helmed previous TCS shows, including Little Shop of Horrors, and Nevermore. The stage manager is Ally Lewis, also a TCS veteran. Chelsea Callahan is the assistant stage manager.
