The Theatre Company of Saugus’ fall 2005 production was The Man Who Came to Dinner. This classic American comedy, by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, concerns a famous but sarcastic journalist who is forced into an extended stay at the home of some normal folks, where he disrupts their household with his outlandish demands and eccentric friends.
The large cast included a mix of old and new faces. TCS welcomed several new members in the cast, including: David Bojarczuk as Bert Jefferson, Brian Buchanan as John, Chris Connell as Beverly Carlton, Ron DiSano as Banjo, Nito Melendez as Richard, and Vanessa Roman as Lorraine Sheldon.
Veteran TCS members in the show included: Jean Amorosi as Mrs. Stanley, Rosemary DeGregorio as Miss Preen, Jacqueline DiGenio as June, Brian Dion as Sheridan Whiteside, Alex Donovan as Sandy, Renee Glowacki as Mrs. McCutcheon and a Convict, Carolina Lanney as Mrs. Dexter, a Convict, and Wescott, Frances Latour as Harriet Stanley, Donald Pinnelle as Dr. Bradley, Sherri Raftery as a Convict and Radio Head, Stephen Russo as Mr. Stanley, Lisa Scopa as Maggie Cutler, Larry Segel as Professor Metz and Expressman, and Stacey Wilson as Sarah.
The production was directed by Michael Fitzgerald. The stage manager was Meaghen Cronin. The producer was Merle Gordon.
