The Theatre Company of Saugus presents its
8th Annual Youth Theatre Workshop
A place where imagination can learn and grow!
August 6-10 and 13-17, 2018
9AM to 4PM – Monday thru Friday
Ending with a production of Getting to Know … Once Upon a Mattress.
Performances will be on Friday, August 17 at 7PM and on Saturday, August 18 at 2PM and at 7PM.

REGISTER BY SUNDAY, AUGUST 5
There will be a session to meet and greet the staff and kids and parents. We will “audition” everyone to help us plan who will get which parts in the show. Be prepared to sing and dance. If you have a song prepared, please bring the sheet music with you, but it’s not required. THE MEET & GREET / AUDITIONS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO SUNDAY, AUGUST 5, starting at 6:00PM. If you cannot attend but are going to be in the workshop, let us know.
Our workshop will be held at the American Legion this year (it has AC!). However, it is not handicap accessible to the second floor where the performance will be. If this is a concern please don’t hesitate to reach out. We may be able to make some accommodations if needed. The American Legion is located at 44 Taylor Street / Saugus, MA 01906.

Please join us in welcoming our new Acting Coach/Director Sean Perry!! Our staff Amanda Allen (Dance Coach), Jen Gelzleichter (Technical Director), and Shawn Gelzleichter (Music/Vocal Coach) will all be returning this year as well!! We are looking forward to the workshop this summer and can’t wait to start!
What do we do during the Workshop? We play theater games, sing, dance, and act. We make our own props. We design, build and paint the set. We build and try on costumes. In the end, we put on a fantastic show! When it all comes down to it, we make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!
The fee is $400 per child. There are discounts for multiple children and for early registration. The fee is only $350 if paid by July 9th.
