The Theatre Company of Saugus presents its 8th annual Youth Theatre Workshop.
A place where imagination can learn and grow!
July 10-14 and 17-21, 2017
9 AM to 4 PM Monday thru Friday
Ending with a production of Honk Jr. the musical.
Performances will be on Friday 21 July at 7 PM and on Saturday 22 July at 2 PM and at 7 PM.
There will be a session to meet and greet the staff and kids and parents. We will “audition” everyone to help us plan who will get which parts in the show. Be prepared to sing and dance. If you have a song prepared, please bring the sheet music with you. This is on Thursday 6 July 2017, starting at 6:30 PM. If you cannot attend but are going to be in the workshop, let us know.
The location this year again is St. John’s Episcopal Church / 8 Prospect Street at the corner of Central Street / Saugus, Massachusetts 01906.
Our teaching staff returns from the previous several years: Shawn Gelzleichter is the Music / Vocal Coach, Britt Mitchell is the Acting Coach, Amanda Allen is the Dance Coach, and Jen Gelzleichter is the Technical Director. There will also be a few teaching assistants.
What do we do during the Workshop? We play theater games, sing, dance, and act. We make our own props. We design, build and paint the set. We build and try on costumes. In the end, we put on a fantastic show! When it all comes down to it, we make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!
The fee is $400 per child. There are discounts for multiple children, for early registration, and for members of St. John’s. The fee is only $350 if paid by June 19.
