There will be a session to meet and greet the staff and kids and parents.  We will “audition” everyone to help us plan who will get which parts in the show.  Be prepared to sing and dance.  If you have a song prepared, please bring the sheet music with you, but it’s not required.  THE MEET & GREET / AUDITIONS DATE IS SUNDAY, JULY 14 AT 5PM.

Our workshop will be held at the American Legion for the second year (it has AC!). However, it is not handicap accessible to the second floor where the performance will be. If this is a concern please don’t hesitate to reach out. We may be able to make some accommodations if needed. The American Legion is located at 44 Taylor Street / Saugus, MA 01906.

Can’t make it to the Meet & Greet? No worries we will see you on the first day of the workshop!

Please join us in welcoming back our staff!! Amanda Allen (Dance Coach), Jen Gelzleichter (Technical Director), Shawn Gelzleichter (Music/Vocal Coach), and Sean Perry (Acting Coach/Director) will all be returning this year!! We are looking forward to the workshop this summer and can’t wait to start!

What do we do during the Workshop?  We play theater games, sing, dance, and act.  We make our own props.  We design, build and paint the set.  We build and try on costumes.  In the end, we put on a fantastic show!  When it all comes down to it, we make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!

Steel Magnolias Cast Announcement

Rehearsals are about to begin for Steel Magnolias – our spring 2019 production – and the fourth mainstage show of our 2018-2019 50th Anniversary Season. You may be familiar with the film version of this play featuring Sally Field, Dolly Parton, and Julia Roberts to name a few. The theatrical version is all about the six women and the time spent in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana. While they may discuss the men in their lives and other friends and family, it is only through their descriptions that we see them.  For more information about the performance and the cast and production team listing, visit our show page.

Tickets will be available online for purchase in the coming week. There will be six performances over two weekends – Fri-Sun, April 26-28 and May 3-5, 2019.

On the second Saturday, May 4, we will be having a special event. Your advanced ticket purchase will include a drink ticket and access to the post-show reception of the performance. Tickets for this event will be the same rate for adults or seniors/students. Tickets purchased at the door will cost the same as the advance price, but will not include the drink ticket for the evening.

Purchasing in advance guarantees you a seat and for the other five performances saves you a little bit over the at door prices – even with the online transaction fee.
