Saugus Founders Day 2022

Each year the town of Saugus holds a street fair. Featuring vendors, food carts, games for kids, art sales, and information booths set up by community organizations and businesses.

Theatre Company of Saugus always participates. There will be a TCS info booth, featuring raffles, games, and information. Several fantastic raffle prizes will be awarded. Purchase tickets at the TCS booth.

Need costumes for Halloween? We have them for sale at our table!

We also perform selections from our shows on the steps in front of Town Hall. This year we will feature the kids from the Youth Theatre Workshop this summer, performing selections from Willy Wonka Jr. and Addams Family young@part. The performance time is 1:30 to 2:30 PM.

We will have a special Founders Day discount on tickets to Zombie Prom.

This year Founders Day is on Saturday 10 September 2022. Running from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. On several blocks of Central Street, running north from the monument. The TCS booth is right in front of Town Hall.

We need volunteers to staff the TCS info table throughout the day. Greet visitors, hand out flyers, and run a raffle. We also need people to set up the table earlier in the morning, and break it down at the end.

West Coast Swing Dance Fundraising Event 2

Theatre Company of Saugus invites all with two-left feet and/or experienced dance skills to our quarterly West Coast Swing Dance Fundraising Event!

West Coast Swing is a social dance boasting a social night of this improvisational street dance in every major US city and many European, Asian, and South-Pacific countries. The art-form is characterized by its roots in big-band swing, incorporating movements from hip-hop, jazz, tap, and ballet, and danced to many songs played on today’s radio/Spotify playlist.

Bring yourself, a partner, a few friends, and/or the whole family, to learn and laugh through this ever evolving creative outlet.

SCHEDULE
Saturday 30 July 2022

7pm-8pm Beginner Lesson
8pm-9pm Beginner/Intermediate Lesson
9pm-1am Social Dancing

PRICING
College Students: $5 for Dance, $10 for Dance and Lessons
Everyone Else: Dance Only is $10, Lessons + Dance is $15

PARKING/LOCATION
Free parking lot and street parking. Location will be at The American Legion in Saugus (44 Taylor St, Saugus, MA 01906) and is located in and around residential buildings.

BAR/REFRESMENTS:
There will be a cash bar located in the corner of the room serving water, soda, or alcoholic beverages to anyone 21+ with a valid ID. Reasonable prices. Bar is open 7:30 to 11:30 PM.

COVID Safety Policy:
Things might change but as of now this will be a fully vaccinated + mask required event. Please be ready to show your vaccine card at the door.

Back to the Stage Calendar Raffle

The Theatre Company of Saugus presents a fundraising raffle with over 30 prizes! Each one to be awarded in July, at least two prizes each day.

$10 buys you a chance to win any one of the prizes. $15 for two chances.

The prizes will be announced each day on the TCS Facebook page by participants in our Youth Theatre Workshop. See: https://www.facebook.com/TheatreCompanyofSaugus. You don’t need to be present online to win.

To enter send us money with a note saying “Calendar Raffle”, plus your Name, Phone number, and Email address. If you win something, we will contact you to arrange the pickup of your prize. How to send money and enter:

Accepting Raffle Donation Items

TCS is planning our next Raffle Fundraiser. Our last raffle event, the 12 Days of TCS raffle, was quite successful, so we will do another one later this spring called Back to the Stage. There will be multiple drawings and many prizes.

You can contribute to the fun by donating items to be raffled off. These can be gift baskets, gift cards, tickets to events, crafts, artwork, household items, whatever! Each donator will be credited in our raffle publicity.

You can tell us about an item you would like to donate by filling out this form. In the Longer Description tell us all about the item content, its use, the event dates, what makes the item desirable. Provide your contact information, in case we need to find out more. Provide your address so that we can collect the donated items and get them to their winners. Please fill out a separate form for each item you want to donate.

Be part of the 12 Days of TCS!

Starting Saturday, November 28 and going through Friday, December 25 – you can purchase raffle tickets. Then from Saturday, December 26 through Wednesday, January 6 (the traditional 12 Days of Christmas) we will do a live drawing (Facebook Live on the TCS page) at 7:00PM for The 12 Days of TCS. Each evening we will draw for a minimum of two prizes. You won’t have to be present online to win. Winners will then coordinate w/ TCS for pick-up or drop-off of prizes. All entries will go into one big container and once a ticket has been pulled it will be set-aside and marked which prize it goes with and we will contact the winner.
