The Theatre Company of Saugus will present the musical Spring Awakening, in the spring of 2022. The performances are scheduled for two consecutive weekends of May 2022. Auditions are planned for February 6-9, 2022. The venue will be the American Legion in Saugus, Massachusetts.
Spring Awakening is a coming-of-age rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and the book and lyrics by Steven Sater. It is based on the 1891 German play Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind. Set in late 19th-century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of adolescent sexuality.
The theatre company is continuing its search to engage the artistic staff for the show:
