A new pair of underpants

Gertrude Deuter, the nosy neighbor, played by Julie Pottier-Brown of Salem, is making a new pair of naughty underpants that should really excite the admirers of her friend downstairs, in a scene from The Underpants, the comic farce by Steve Martin, the celebrated performer and writer, based on an original play from 1910 by Carl Sternheim.  Performances by the Theatre Company of Saugus are on February 27, 28 and March 1, 6, 7, 8, 2015, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM.  At 85 Chestnut Street / Saugus, Massachusetts.  Tickets are $18 or $15, less if paid for in advance.  Visit TCSaugus.org, email TCSaugus@gmail.com, or phone 781-816-7019.  (Photo by Kelly Turilli.)
