Audiences love Nunsense: The Mega Musical

Our holiday season show is the popular first edition of the Nunsense series of comedy musicals by Dan Goggin.  Except it is the expanded Mega version of the show, with additional characters and musical numbers.  Funny nuns who love to entertain.

Remaining performances of Nunsense:  The Mega Musical are Friday & Saturday 18 & 19 December 2015 at 8:00 PM, and on Sunday 20 December at 2:00 PM.

Nunsense Mega Previews

You can catch preview performances by the cast of our upcoming holiday season musical comedy Nunsense:  The Mega Musical.  And TCS members joining in the holiday singing.

  • Saturday 21 November, 10 AM to 3 PM.  Homecoming Arts and Crafts Festival at Saugus High School.  Preview performance at 1 PM.
  • Wednesday 2 December, 3 PM to 9 PM.  Bookfair fundraiser at Barnes & Noble bookstore.  Preview performance at 7 PM.
  • Friday 4 December, 5 PM to 8 PM.  Tree Lighting at Saugus Town Hall.  TCS will be caroling at 6:15 PM.
  • Saturday 5 December, 9 AM to 12 noon.  Holiday Stroll at Cliftondale Congregational Church.  TCS will be joining the holiday chorus.

Barnes & Noble Bookfair 2015

TCS had another Holiday Bookfair at Barnes & Noble.  A percentage of your purchases in the store will be donated to Theatre Company of Saugus.  This is a great fundraising event for us while you do your holiday shopping.

At the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Saugus, in the Staples Plaza at 444A Broadway, Route 1 northbound just south of the Lynn Fells Parkway exit.

Our Bookfair is on Wednesday 2 December 2015 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. We will be having activities throughout the night so come join us!

At 7:00 PM we will perform songs from our upcoming show, Nunsense:  The Mega Musical!

The store will feature a table with theater-related books for sale.  You can also have us gift-wrap your purchases, for free, with donations gratefully accepted.  We will also be selling Raffle Tickets, and tickets to the Nunsense Mega show.

When you make your purchases in the store, you must give our voucher to the cashier in order for us to get credit.  Click here to download the flyer and voucher.

You can order delicious Cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory via the bookfair, which also support our fundraiser.  Pumpkin, Eggnog, Red Velvet, Original Plain, Godiva Double Chocolate, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cheesecakes.  Each is pre-sliced and serves 14, $40 each.   The pick-up can be any date in December after our bookfair, but if you get your order in to Barnes & Noble early then they can have the orders available for pickup at the bookfair on December 2.  Click here for the:  Cheesecake Order Form.

Crafting with CreAtive CreAtions

With the holiday season upon us, we start to wrack our brains to figure out a perfect gift for that special someone.  As Sister Hubert said last year in Nuncrackers “It’s better to give than it is to receive!”  So what’s a better gift than something you made with your own two hands?!  Amanda Allen the creAtor of CreAtive CreAtions will be providing a class to do just that!!

On Sunday 29 November 2015 at 5 PM.  At 85 Chestnut Street  /  Saugus, Massachusetts.  We will be hosting a class where we will be creating our own ornaments out of our favorite recycled papers!  Music, books, comic books, scrap book paper, etc you name it!!

For $12 we will provide the materials to make two ornaments, and some light refreshments.  Email  tcsaugus@gmail.com to RSVP by November 22, 2015 and only pay $10!

We will provide some paper items like sheet music, funny pages, comic books, etc.  However, if you have certain paper that you want turned into an ornament please feel free to do so!  Also if you own your own glue gun bring that as well!!

All proceeds to benefit our upcoming production of Nunsense: The Mega Musical.

Saugus High Homecoming Arts and Craft Festival

The cast of Nunsense The Mega Musical will be doing a preview performance at this event!  Starting at 1 PM.

The Saugus High School Homecoming Art and Craft Festival is sponsored by the SHS classes to benefit student activities for grades 9-11.  The Festival will take place on Saturday 21 November 2015,  from 10 AM until 3 PM.  The location is Saugus High School.

Exhibitors will be selling high quality, original handmade items, artisans, and boutique items such as knitting, quilting, pottery, jewelry, toys, home furnishings and holiday items.  They are focusing having true crafters and artisans this year to show off the talents of those in the community.  Vendors are assisted by students working at the Festival.

Dining to Donate at Applebee’s

Applebees_logoTheatre Company of Saugus is holding a fundraiser at Applebee’s restaurant.  Join us there for some good food.  Proceeds will support our production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

On Thursday 22 October 2015, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Applebee’s will donate 15% of your check to TCS.  (Not including tax or tip.)

In Saugus, Massachusetts, at 214 Broadway, which is Route 1 Northbound, just south of the Walnut Street exit.
