ROCK & ROFL – A Night of Music & Comedy

RockRoflFlyerThe Lemoine-Mitchell Performing Arts Center is holding a fundraiser to support the auditorium at Saugus High School named in memory of two of its beloved teachers.

A Night of Music & Comedy:  ROCK & ROFL, featuring comedians and musicians who are alumni of Saugus High School!  The lineup includes comedians Val Kappa, Elvis Collins, and Britt Mitchell, and bands Ponyfish and October Road.

Thursday 19 March 2015, from 7:30 to 10:00 PM.  At Kowloon restaurant, on Route 1 northbound in Saugus, Massachusetts.  Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Tickets are $35 each.  Or four for only $120.  The price includes both a Chinese food buffet and the entertainment.

Nancy Lemoine was the drama teacher, and Jerome Mitchell was the band teacher at Saugus High School.  Both taught for many years, inspiring generations of students, and left a legacy of many talented performing alumni.  Come see them perform, and support the installation of new signage for the performing arts center named in their honor.

Five Guys Fundraiser for Underpants

Five Guys Burgers and Fries In support of our production of The Underpants, we will be gathering together again for great food at Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Sunday 1 March 2015.  In Saugus, in the Stop & Shop Supermarket plaza off Route 1 (next to Buffalo Wild Wings).

Five Guys has generously offered to donate 10% of all proceeds from 5 to 9 PM on that evening to TCS.  You have to eat, so come out and get a great burger, and talk about how much you enjoyed our show.

You can head to Five Guys right after watching our matinée performance of The Underpants on Sunday 1 March starting at 2:00 PM.  The show runs about two hours plus intermission, and would be over at about 4:30 PM.  The show is at ESUMC.  See our Directions page for the locations of both.

Theatre Company of Saugus is holding a Mixed Bag Designs fundraiser.  We’re selling eco-friendly tote bags, travel bags, kitchenware, home goods, accessories, and more through Mixed Bag Designs!  There’s something for everyone in the catalogs.

Our goal is to raise $2000 to bring “Light” to our future!  We need to purchase new lighting dimmers.  Help support local theatre and “Go, Green” at the same time!  We receive 40% from every online purchase.

Additional Auditions for Clue, the Musical

ClueMusicalLogoOrange We are excited to announce auditions for our spring show, Clue, the Musical.  Based on the board game, with all the familiar possible murderers, locations, and weapons.  For complete details, please see our Auditions page.

We will hold additional auditions for Clue, the Musical, since the snowy weather prevented people from getting to the first auditions in February.  Additional audition sessions will be on Sunday 8 March and Monday 9 March 2015.  Both sessions will start at 7:00 PM.  Casting decisions will be made after the auditions on March 9, and those who are cast should be prepared to attend a first rehearsal on Tuesday 10 March 2015.  All roles are still open.
